Tilia Botanicals is Your Centre for Herbal Learning
Tilia is pleased to be able to offer fun & educational classes and special events in many aspects of the herbal culture. Classes include topics such as how to make herbal remedies; growing herbs; plant ID and harvest wild plants; aromatherapy, making soap and personal care items; how to cook with herbs, and wild food foraging. We have even offered summer camps for kids! Our teachers are all experts in their field and joyfully share their passion for plants and natural health with event participants.

Soap Making
Our incredibly popular Soap Making class is back! In this fun and informative class, you will learn how to make your very own handcrafted soap bars. In this class we will demonstrate all the proper techniques for successful, safe soap making, including the important troubleshooting tips to help. You will leave with not only your own bars of soap that we've made in class but a kit to take home so that you can get started on your own soap making adventures!

INSTRUCTOR: Co-owner of Tilia Botanicals, Rachel Beck has been making handcrafted soap for over 30 years and is the creative force behind Tilia's wonderful soap collection. In all her workshops she aims to create a captivating and fun environment for you to truly enjoy learning a new skill.
Growing Your Own Herbs
Yes, its almost gardening time again and its time to get planning! Learn the fundamentals of growing your very own herbs at home. In this class you will learn how you can grow everything from potted herbs in the kitchen to the proper companion planting outdoors and more. Class includes your own set of fresh plants to take home and handouts with notes for everything covered in the class. You will be all set to grow and enjoy your favourite fresh herbs all year round!

INSTRUCTOR: Rachel Beck is a Medical Herbalist and loves growing her own herbs for medicinal and culinary use. While she has a diploma in Herbal Culture, she believes her real knowledge of medicinal plants and their specific needs has sprouted from her many years of experience in the garden listening to the plants.
Mommy & Me Workshop
Create an Aromatherapy Bracelet & Essential Oil Blend
Tilia Botanicals and Happy Camper Malas will be team teaching this fun and creative workshop designed just for parents and their kids ages 5+. In the workshop they'll learn about the most popular essential oils that they can use with the gem & lava bead bracelet that they’ll create during the class. By the end of the class each participant will be leaving with their own custom essential oil blend along with their handmade aromatherapy bracelet.
DATE: Saturday April 12/25 1:00 - 3:30 pm
COST: $79 + GST (Essential Oil Blend and Mala Bracelet Included for each person) Cost is for 1 parent and 1 child (Ages 5+). Additional children from the same family $15 each.

Janina Gough is the owner of Happy Camper Malas and creates beautiful gemstone bracelets, earrings, hair clips and more with the inspiration of nature and wellness in each of her creations.
Intro to Aromatherapy & Gemstone Bracelet Making
Learn the basics of aromatherapy in this fun filled class. You’ll learn about the most widely used essential oils, what they are used for, how to incorporate them in your life and how to safely use them. You’ll then be making your own aromatherapy gem & lava bead bracelet with Janina of Happy Camper Malas. Isn't it time for you to practice a little self-care and have some “me” time? This fun class is a perfect way to practice your self-pampering skills. Enjoy some tea and herbal treats while you learn to make wonderful herbal baths, teas and aromatherapy blends to relax, refresh and revive you! Be your own Valentine and pamper yourself with a fully rejuvenating experience or bring a friend and save 10%.
All supplies are included. Please bring a towel with you and wear casual clothing suitable for having a facial in.

Cancellation Policy: Our instructors put a great deal of work into preparing our classes so that you have an amazing learning experience. Because of this our classes are popular and it is not unusual for us to having waiting lists for our classes. In an effort to be fair to everyone we have created a cancellation policy that we believe recognizes our instructors’ efforts while respecting the reality that sometimes you need to cancel after you register.
If you cancel at least 7 days prior to the class you will receive a full refund less a 5% administration fee.
If you cancel between 6 days and 48 hours prior to the class you will receive a 50% refund.
If you cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice or if a course has already started there is no refund.
